Elliot deBruyn is a student at the University of Vermont and freelance multimedia journalist currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Elliot's initial draw to journalism was in conflict zone photojournalism and war photography.

During his term as the Managing Editor at the University of Vermont's student-run newspaper, The Vermont Cynic, and interning at Minnesota Public Radio, Elliot decided that multimedia storytelling and travel journalism of all kinds were his calling.

Elliot is now working towards a career in war correspondance or travel multimedia journalism, finishing school with a B.A. in Asian Studies and waiting to study in Beijing, China at Beijing Language and Culture University.
