This borehole will transform the lives of the Madlala learning community as there are currently very few people who have access to running water in the communities surrounding Madlala.

During the opening celebrations, a poem recited by one of the learners summed it up entirely:
Water is Life
Water is noble
Water is a source of life
Water is minister without portfolio
Water is oil, glue, blood, air and everything
Without water, life is like a dead planet
Without water life is a hell
