What’s not to like about music and dance combined with a regional wine festival?

If you’re wandering through the Czech Republic in September, consider penciling in a stop at the historical wine festival in Znojmo (map).

It seems as though John of Luxembourg, then King of Bohemia, visited the town with his entourage in 1327. They’ve been partying in commemoration ever since (complete with period costumes).

This year’s dates are September 14 and 15, 2012.
