Alas, off to the beautiful city of Bristol England for a handful of hidden gems.
Do you live in Bristol? Find yourself a bit bored of what’s on offer?
Food glorious food

The Miners Rest (Long Ashton)
Located just three miles outside of Bristol but it’s a world away. With glorious views of Somerset, authentic flagstone floors and all importantly, delicious local cider, this pub is the perfect mini getaway. And you don’t have to go near a plane. Perfect.

Southville Center Cafe and Southville Center – Beauley Road, Southville
Southville Center is worthy of a mention. Home to plenty of community projects, classes and activities, this charity is a happy, welcoming place for all who visit. But the cafe is something else. With a menu of seasonal, local and organic food, freshly cooked and utterly delicious, it is a place to relax, to chat and even to work using the free wi fi. Eat, drink, make friends and be part of the community.
I wonder where to wander

Windmill Hill City Farm: A wonderful city farm just half a mile from the city centre. A community hub that offers fun, education, meeting spaces and delicious, organic, farm-grown food from their cafe. Come and pet a pig, pick a pepper and partake in the particular pleasure of being in a small bit of nature inside the city.
Out on the town

The Lanes - Nelson Street
If you can’t decide between going bowling, going out for cocktails, eating a delicious American style pizza, singing your heart out karaoke style or just going dancing then don’t worry. You can do all five in The Lanes. Yep that’s right, it’s a karaoke-bowling-pizzeria-cocktails-dancing bar. So that’s five times as good as anything else you were going to do tonight. And if that wasn’t enough, it has a vintage boutique open during the day and bands play gigs here too. Could you wish for anything else?
