If you’ve ever been to Paris you’ll know that the multi-lane roundabout circling the Arc de Triomphe is not pedestrian friendly. And not just because of French drivers.
It’s an intersection for 12 major roads in Paris and yet one of the city’s most famous landmarks is trapped in the middle. The only way to get to it is underground.
Or at least it was until there was a flashmob that created a zebra crossing all the way across.
What better way to celebrate World Car Free Day than by cheering on pedestrians safely crossing one of the busiest roads in Europe. C’est fantastique!
P.S. It wouldn’t be so busy if we all caught the bus. It’s the coolest, sexiest option these days too.
