International Green Week is the world’s biggest fair for food, agriculture and horticulture and it will be held later this month in Berlin, Germany? Established in 1926 it will take place for the 76th time this year.

International Green Week — scheduled for January 21 through 30, 2011, in the Berlin Messe exhibition hall in Berlin-Charlottenburg — is one of those “gotta see this!” trips.

“Green” institutions as well as parks and gardens will again be represented in the Horticultural Forum. A wide-ranging program of papers and presentations from every horticultural sector will be taking place on the main stage, offering practical tips for amateurs and trade visitors alike.

Are you into organic gardening? Don’t miss the Bio Market. Grow flowers? There’ll be more than 30,000 flowering plants in the International Floral Hall. Some 70 breweries will offer their wares and countless food purveyors from around the world — Afghanistan to Vietnam.
