Any trip to Berlin is going to involve some level of street art and given that I am a true graffiti lover, you can say that I had a field day aimlessly wandering through the city’s lively streets. Here are a few of my favorite sightings. Some you have most certainly seen before but hopefully a few of these are new to you as they were for me.
Holly Golightly & Friends - spotted this one in the hipster Friedrichshain neighborhood.
Overlapping Color – a different type of street art generally stuck to walls with a simple solution.
The Floating Astronaut – I’d also like to land on the moon one day. (Artist: “Ash” aka Victor Ash of Paris)
A Fateful End – poor Bambi and the other animals of the forrest (Artist: ROA, Belgium-based)
Spotlight on Madrid – Iker Casillas Fernández and Raúl González in all their football glory.
Welcome to Kreuzberg – a perfect example of attention-grabbing art very common of the area.
Breaking Free – this guy managed to ride right through the Berlin Wall.
Cool Shades – an impromptu creation at the ic! berlin offices’ rooftop.
Tacheles’ Burning Question – perhaps the most infamous art “squat” space in Berlin.
Always Pose for the Camera – the scissors adds an interesting element to this piece.
