I have never been to as colorful a place as the Burano Island in Italy’s Venice. While all the buildings may be painted in pretty pastels, I found the windowsills in Burano to be worthy of their own special attention.
The color combinations were truly unique and original. Several of the flowers matched the colors of the surrounding walls, but many clashed. With so much color popping through the island, though, you can’t blame the locals for mismatched styles. Just gave the island even more charm.
