For you, no Valentine’s Day is complete without a huge romantic gesture. Forget writing a message in the sky and whisking them away to a secluded island. Head to Paris and walk hand in hand through the city of love.

Tell them you love them. With words. Not individually wrapped roses and plastic hearts.
The DIYers
You’ve got your glue, glitter and red felt at the ready. If you like to craft your way to your lovers heart then try this painted stick heart, these origami love notes or some newspaper heart bunting.
The Red Hot Lovers
Order some ethical and beautiful pants, a box of Fairtrade condoms and turn out all the lights. And remember, showering with a partner uses less water. So clothes off and lather up.
The Traditionalists (with a twist)
Instead of a bunch of flowers, give a packet of seeds to grow your own. And if buying a gift is an absolute must then nothing says ‘I love you’ like a hygiene set and a goat.
