The Noise Pop Festival was featured in San Francisco for its’ 21st year.  Noise pop is a favored indie music, arts and film festival that has brought early exposure to many emerging artist throughout the Bay Area and beyond.  Many of the artists that have been featured at this fresh and funky event have gone on to gain widespread acclaim.  Some of the notable people this rockin’ event has spotted early include the White Stripes, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Bright Eyes, Best Coast, Jeff Tweedy, The Dodos, Girls and Antony and The Johnsons.

 

This Nor Cal festival has also featured favorites like Yoko Ono and The Plastic Ono Band, Bob Mould, Yo La Tengo, X, Frank Black (of the Pixies), Sleater-Kinney and Television.

In addition, like many festivals of this nature; the film series explores intersections of music and art; Pop-n-Shop, a local designer fair; Culture Club, an interactive workshop exploring DIY culture; Art Gallery Shows; Happy Hours and much more.

 

Noise Pop believes in understanding the creative process and as a part of that the Culture Club celebrates the DIY spirit by giving rare opportunity to see and hear you favorite music, film, art, design, food, and technology community show in a very interactive way.  The approach the how, why, and what that inspires these great artistic avenues.

 

This year’s event was nothing but short of the of the premiere celebration of independent music, film, and art.
