Carmine Street Beers, New York West Village Style

Comments Off on Carmine Street Beers, New York West Village Style

The NYC neighborhood that seems to have it all, seemed to me, that it was missing one thing – a craft beer joint. Not a bar, there are plenty of those, but an actual store where if they don’t have the eloquently snobby beer you enjoy you can add it to a wish list and voilá! It’s soon in stock. Where if you can’t come out to restock because you’re hosting (or you’re already two or three 6-packs in and feeling good) they’ll deliver to you. Well, no more…West Village, say hello to Carmine Street Beers!

Located at 52 Carmine Street, between Bedford and Bleecker Streets, this establishment is the brainchild of one Brian Monteiro. If you’re from the area you’ll recognize the name; he’s the owner of Spirits of Carmine which is right next door. If you’re not from the area, you should really check that place out, too. I personally shop there – subway ride in from Queens for the incomparable wine and whiskey selection. Anyway…where was I? Oh yes…craft beer!

This establishment boasts 11 taps (they have added one since the above photo was taken) where you can purchase one of their growlers, or refill your own, and go on about your business. That business would be shopping their expansive inventory of craft beer. Oh, glorious beer – from everywhere! The beer reaches from Brooklyn to Belgium; Germany, Italy, Mexico…you get the idea. If it’s brewed anywhere in the world; there’s a good chance you’ll find it here. If not? Hey…you can order it!

They are constantly updating their inventory so be sure to follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook to keep up with them.
