This year’s first Farm to Fork dinner takes place July 21, 2012, in Fields Farm, Bend, Oregon. Featured are food and drink from Maragas Winery, 10 Barrel Brewing Company and Dancing Cow Farm. Chef is T. R McCrystal of Jen’s Garden and the non-profit partner is the Central Oregon Food Policy Council.
Each of the five Farm to Fork dinners is a five-course dining event, designed to reconnect diners to the source of food, and to celebrate the farmers, food artisans, winemakers and chefs who contribute to local food communities throughout Oregon. Each is a farm-to-table feast, local food showcase and community celebration rolled into one.
Future events are August 11, 2012 (Willow Witt Ranch, Ashland, Oregon), September 2, 2012 (Afton Field Farm, Corvallis, Oregon), September 8, 2012 (Kiyokawa Family Orchards, Parkdale, Oregon) and October 6, 2012, (Barking Moon Farm, Applegate, Oregon).
