The 19th Australian Orchid Council Conference and Show will take place September 11 through 16, 2012, in the Burswood Entertainment Complex, West Perth, Australia. Theme is “Wild About Orchids”.

The Australian Orchid Conference is held every three years, and returns to Perth for the first time since 1991.

Organizers note that there’s an abundance of native terrestrial orchids in this part of Australia (the southwest). In addition, spring wildflowers should be in full bloom (yes, September is spring Down Under).

A schedule of 21 lecturers and 27 lectures is planned in the Botanical Room. over a three day period.

The Northern Districts Orchid Society (NDOS) will host the 19th Australian Orchid Conference while the event will be organised and managed by a Special Project Committee of the Western Australian Regional Orchid Organisation (WAROO) whose members are AOC affiliated clubs/societies.
