Grand Velas Riviera Maya entices gourmets during the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival, March 14-17, 2013, with a culinary-themed hotel package that includesdinner with the festival’s chef headliner, Massimo Bottura, as well as wine and tequila tastings. Chosen as a host hotel for the event due to its reputation within the international food community, the resort will also be home to many of the top chefs for the food festival.

Guests will live a unique culinary experience in tribute to a gastronomy legend, Chef Massimo Bottura, during “A Taste of Europe: Tribute to Massimo Bottura”.  Mark Ladner, Marc Vetri and Fabio Trabocchi, three celebrated chefs from the states, will honor Massimo’s ideas, with the collaboration of two chefs from his famous restaurant “Osteria La Francescana” (3 stars Michelin & top 5 restaurant in the world).

The five course dinner is paired with wines chosen and presented by Doug Frost, one of only 3 people in the world with Master Sommelier and Master of Wine designations.
