Join a culinary odyssey through ancient, Ottoman, and modern Turkey to get to the heart of the culture through an exploration of its cuisine on a culinary tour by Eat Smart Guides. It’s set for August 13 through 21, 2013.
Participants will sample regional Turkish specialties in their natural setting, delve into the secrets of Turkish dishes by participating in a cooking class, visit food markets and learn about the herbs, spices and condiments prevalent in Turkish cookery.
But it’s not all about food and wine. You’ll see the major tourist sights in Istanbul and in Cappadocia (wth a sunrise balloon ride followed by a champagne breakfast.
The guide will be Joan Peterson, author of Eat Smart in Turkey.
