Craghoppers Outdoor Active Wear, a Great Choice for Adventure Enthusiasts

When space is at a premium, the Craghoppers CompressLite Jacket is a godsend — it’s lightweight, warm and easy-to-pack. With insulating properties comparable to natural down, this jacket is aimed to keep you warm but without taking up a lot of space, a key reason we wanted to test it out. A perfect choice for adventure travelers, the jacket is super-light, compressible and boasts “instant insulation.”  This great find comes in a Diva Purple (my favorite….and pictured below), red, an aqua color, Lagoon, an Aegean blue, tan and pink.

With spring around the corner, and summer not far behind, it’s worth mentioning their fabulous tunic collection. Their tunics have a very relaxed look and come in a mix of cotton and linen blend with a woven cotton back for comfort in sticky conditions. There’s embroidery on the front as well and we thought would make a great choice for any spring or summer getaway you may be planning – it’s great with beachwear, shorts, or a comfy pair of jeans. The tunic comes in a fun Aqua color (below), a summer gold, a pink and a Calico/off white color.

Craghoppers has a variety of t-shirts and other clothing musts for women on the go as well. From NosiLife polos, tees and hoodies, there are a wide variety of choices. They also boast an UV-protective technology with their exclusive Solarshield ZnO fabric finish. Their cotton jersey T-shirts, tunics and tops are coated with UPF-rated sun block for natural cooling coverage. There’s also fleeces, shorts, dresses, skirts, pants and spring jackets for women and travel accessories (largely hats for sun coverage when in sunnier climates).

Their super-light vest top is a great choice for summer trips. It’s a cool two-layer construction with a soft and stretchy white inner for cooling comfort.  It’s perfect for a variety of outdoor activities, whether you’re hiking, biking or just hanging out. It comes in a fun bright yellow/white combo and a teal green/white combo.

Also worth noting is their NatGeo InsectShield long sleeved tee which is a very flexible travel top — you can get it in solid colors as well. This particular shirt is designed in stripes but wonderful neutral colors that go well with trousers, jeans and shorts while also protecting you from hot climate. It has built in moisture control, is lightweight and machine washable.

We only tested out one of their men’s shirts: the Kiwi Trek. Designed using tried-and-tested Kiwi fabric with inbuilt sun protection, but with a more streamlined, contemporary fit for enhanced comfort, this stylish shirt is both practical and comfortable. It has a cool SolarShield Collar, drying loops, two pockets and is made of a polyester cotton blend.  One of the things we liked about their men’s line is their unique color choices — this shirt comes in Ashen, Dusk Blue, Faded Indigo and Parchment.

While we didn’t review the children’s line this time around or any of the men’s fleeces or jackets, we hope to in the future. For men, they offer an equally wide range, including tops, fleeces, jackets, and shorts. More info on them including how and where to buy can be found on their site at: http://www.us.craghoppers.com/.
