While most GPS systems either work in your car (built in or can sit on top of your dashboard), there are others that are smaller and more convenient for travelers and Garmin is a leading brand in this area as most people know who have researched the category.
The Garmin HUD is only 9.77 ounces and allows you for more hands free, since it puts GPS directions, ETAs and traffic alerts right where you can see them: on the windshield. The HUD, which stands for “heads-up display,” pairs with your smartphone and gets data from an app that will set you back around $60. The device is: $150;
